Our recessed panel wainscoting is also referred to as “flat panel wainscoting” and “Shaker style wainscoting”. Ours is the most authentic and versatile available in the industry.
Why you ask?
Using the same authentic style of joinery found in our “raised panel wainscoting” we are able to create many different styles and configurations as seen in our design options 3 thru 8. We can put a “beadboard” panel in the wainscoting to create a more sophistic approach to sheets of beadboard. But most importantly, we use a floating panel in the wainscoting. Our competition actually routers the recessed panel from a solid sheet of 5/8” thick mdf, and if you have even seen what happens when you router mdf, it is less then desirable. There will be extensive preparation necessary to ever get it to paint to a smooth surface. We use a full ¾” thick stile and rail.
